Current positions

Family Practice (Skyview Medical Clinic) [click to expand]

- - Comprehensive family medicine
  - However, specific interests include substance use disorders (opioids, alcohol, etc.), chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, etc.), and minor procedures (excisional/shave/punch biopsies, skin tag removal, cyst excision, cryotherapy/liquid nitrogen, knee joint steroid injections, toenail resections)
  - Not accepting new patients — if you are in need of a family doctor you must sign up for the Need A Family Practice registry.

- - If you are looking to learn more information about vasectomies, including what the procedure entails, potential risks and complications, frequently asked questions (FAQs), insured and uninsured portions of the procedure, alternatives, and what to expect after the procedure, then please see the Vasectomy Information page.
  - If you are interested in pursuing a vasectomy under the care of Dr. C. Creene, a consultation referral from a healthcare professional is required. If you do not have a primary care provider, you can request a referral through VirtualCareNS. Referrals can either be sent via the Ocean eReferral network or faxed directly to (902) 482-6019.

Addiction Medicine (Direction 180) [click to expand]

- - Direction 180 is a non-profit community-based opioid treatment program based on the principles of harm reduction in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Associate Professor (Dept. Family Medicine, Dalhousie University) [click to expand]

Part-time academic appointment with the Department of Family Medicine at Dalhousie University.
Current roles include:
- - Clinical Preceptor for learners/students of Dalhousie Medical School, Halifax site.
  - Postgraduate Coordinator for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (QIPS), Halifax site.
